Non Sequitur

math fallacy

An argument in which its conclusion does not follow from its premises.

In a non sequitur, the conclusion itself may not necessarily be false, but the argument is fallacious because there is a disconnect between the premise and the conclusion.

She drives a BMW. She must be richskepticism

Technically speaking, all logical fallacies are non sequiturs.

Greenhouse gasses contribute to global warming. Humans contribute to greenhouse gas production. Therefore, humans are solely to blame for global warming.
